We are delighted to announce that the first issue of the Journal of the Anus, Rectum and Colon (JARC) has been released in January 2017.

JARC is an open-access and peer-reviewed research journal providing a platform for the physicians, surgeons, proctologists and all other professionals in the field of coloproctology.
The Journal’s aim is to advance knowledge of coloproctology-related studies, and to promote the standards in research and conduct of the professionals engaged in the field worldwide.
Now we invite researchers to contribute their original unpublished articles to the Journal. The Journal especially welcomes:

• Original research articles
• Review articles

If the first author of an original research article or a review article is a member of the Japan Society of Coloproctology, the article processing charge is free.
We welcome many researchers’ contribution to the accumulation of a lot of novel evidence for the development of coloproctology in the world through JARC.
